IP addresses
Allocated IP addresses will normally be advised to users in advance of service activation or migration. Most modems and routers will be able to pick-up the allocated IP address automatically on connection.
If users have requested additional extended IP address ranges then these may need to be programmed into the local router - please refer to the manufacturer's instructions for details of how to do this.
Local PCs (wireless, wired, desktop or laptop etc.) will need to be allocated individual IP addresses. If you are using NAT (Network Address Translation) with DHCP on your router, then your local PCs can be set to obtain an IP address automatically.
